Baobab Banana Bread


  • 2 tsp New Health Solutions Baobab powder
  • 225g of flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 50g brown sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 75ml of vegetable oil
  • 100ml of water
  • 50g nuts (peanuts, cashews, almonds)

For The Decoration

  • 1 banana
  • 10-15 almonds


Step 1 Preheat the oven to 180°C (Gas Mark 4)

Step 2 Knead the bananas with a fork.

Step 3 In a bowl, mix the water, vegetable oil and brown sugar. Then add the bananas and mix.

Step 4 Add cinnamon, baobab powder, nuts, flour and baking powder. Mix thoroughly.

Step 5 Cover the bread tin mould with parchment (greaseproof paper)and pour into it the mixture.

Step 6 Garnish with almonds, and a banana which is cut in half along its length.

Step 7 Bake until ready for about 40 minutes.
